			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Shiffman Medical Library has arranged a free trial of <a href="http://www.imaios.com/en/e-Anatomy" target="_blank">E-Anatomy</a> for the WSU faculty and students.  The institution-wide trial will run from <strong>Oct 9 to Oct 30, 2009</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.imaios.com/en/e-Anatomy" target="_blank">E-Anatomy</a> contains more than 1500 anotated medical images from normal CT and MR exams. The images cover the entire sectional anatomy of the human body. This online resource is very useful for teaching, self-study, or review. The multi-slice image series offer cross sectional views combined with interactive textual information and 3D models.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Shiffman Medical Library has arranged a free trial of <a href="http://jamaevidence.com">JAMAevidence</a>, the online resource for teaching, learning and practicing evidence based medicine, for WSU faculty and students beginning in February, 2009. The institution-wide will run from <strong>Feb 11 to June 30, 2009</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://jamaevidence.com">JAMAevidence</a> contains many of the tools students and clinicians need to evaluate and interpret the medical literature. Here are just a few:</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Shiffman Medical Library has arranged for a free trial of McGraw-Hill&#8217;s AccessPHARMACY, a comprehensive online resource for WSU faculty, and students. The institution-wide free trial will run from <strong>Feb 1 to June 30, 2009</strong>.</p>
<p>AccessPHARMACY offers access to over 20 books mapped to pharmacy core curriculum and is designed to meet the changing demands of pharmacy education. Students can search the site, select a core topic, browse by organ system, or review a textbook online. AccessPHARMACY’s integrated case studies, care plans, self-assessment and NAPLEX review help students develop and track key skills. It provides critical feedback for students and teachers. Other useful features include clinical relevance information, functional calculators, lab test information and an integrated drug database. This resource also provides up-to-date news and updates from the Pharmacotherapy News Network (PNN) and Goodman &amp; Gilmans the Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics.</p>

<p>Lexi-Comp provides access to pharmacological information, drug interactions, formulary services, information on natural products, poisoning and toxicology, nuclear, biological and chemical agent exposures, infectious diseases, lab tests, diagnostic procedures  and more. You can search or browse databases to obtain clinical decision support information at the point of care.  Lexi-Comp content can also be downloaded to your PDA.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Shiffman Medical Library has arranged <strong>a free trial of R2 Digital Library,  the web-based  e-book collection for medicine, nursing, and allied health from Rittenhouse Book Distributors, Inc</strong> .  The institution-wide trial will run through <strong>December 5, 2008</strong>.</p>
<p>R2 Digital Library provides access to electronic content from multiple publishers and offers more than 700 electronic health science resources in a topic-based searchable database. Full text access is available for all titles.</p>
<p>Some important features of the R2 library include integration with Blackboard and Endnote, linkout to CINAHL, PubMed, and AccessMedicine, the capability to support multimedia and to use tables, graphs, charts, illustrations and photographs.</p>
<p>You can customize the R2 Library by adding a personal login so that you are able to save images, searches, references, and other files.</p>
