How the government shutdown is affecting our library resources at Wayne State
Because of the government shutdown, access to eric.ed.gov, the freely available government website for ERIC (Education Resources Information Cener) is not available. However, Wayne State faculty, students and staff can still search ERIC via ERIC (ProQuest) and ERIC (FirstSearch) linked on the Wayne State library system’s Article Databases tab.
Journal articles will be available through the above ERIC databases, or through the Link to Full Text option. ERIC Documents (items with an accession number beginning ED) published prior to 2004 are available in the Purdy Library on microfiche. ERIC Documents published after 2004 are not available due to the government shutdown, but may be accessible through other venues. If you need access to ERIC documents, please contact the Education Liaison librarian, Veronica Bielat, for assistance: 313-577-4217 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to include the ERIC Document citation with your inquiry.
NLM Web Site
Due to the lapse in government funding, the information on this web site may not be up to date, transactions submitted via the web site may not be processed, and the agency may not be able to respond to inquiries until appropriations are enacted.
PubMed is open, however it is being maintained with minimal staffing due to the lapse in government funding. Information will be updated to the extent possible, and the agency will attempt to respond to urgent operational inquiries.
