“Roadmap to Redesign: Math 0993”

The Wayne State University Mathematics Department in collaboration with the University Library System is pleased to announce that we were one of twenty institutions selected from a national pool of candidates by the Center for Academic Tranformation to participate in their program of course redesign.
Effective Fall of 2004 all students entering WSU and who are required to take Math 993 will do so in the "Math Emporium", a 100 seat computer labi.
This instructor-directed, computer-based math class features:
- Individual attention for each student
- Instructor and student assistants present and available for questions in the lab
- Lab open MTWR 8:30am-9:30pm, F 8:30am-4:00pm and Sa 9:00am-2:30pm
- Traditional math content presented using animation, video, audio and more!
- Online exercises give you immediate feedback on your progress!
- Arrange your own schedule
- Take the class home with you! Online instruction allows for anytime learning
- Review lessons as much as you want before moving on to the next level
