Research Revolution: Science and the Shaping of Modern Life:
A Series of Six Viewing and Discussion Programs
The University Libraries were selected as one of fifty national sites to participate in the Research Revolution: Science and the Shaping of Modern Life. The project, a partnership with both the National Video Resources and the American Library Association, is comprised of six events to enable our citizenship to deal more effectively with the new choices that rapid scientific change creates. The viewing and discussion events [see scheduled below] will help illuminate the organization and goals of scientific-technical work, the critical outcomes of research and development, the material and social byproducts of such work and the ethical issues that sometimes result. The events, scheduled from 6:30-8:30 p.m., will be held in the Bernath Auditorium at the David Adamany Undergraduate Library on Wayne State’s campus. All sessions are free and open to the public. Questions regarding parking and other arrangements may be directed to Wayne State Library System, (313) 577-4023.
