Collection Strengths
After a lengthy discussion about the strengths of each collection, the members
determined that each would contribute the following:
Detroit Historical Museums
i. Detroit-made garments
ii. Outerware/accessories
iii. 20th century (particularly items from 40's and 50's)
iv. Men's clothing and accessories
v. Wedding gowns
Meadow Brook Hall
i. Couture from the 1920's and 1930's
ii. Peggy Hoyt (Saginaw, Michigan designer)
iii. Photos of Dodge family wearing the garments
The Henry Ford
i. Men's clothing from 1770's-1860
ii. Undergarments
iii. Shoes
iv. Couture from the 1940's and 1950's
v. Children's from 1770‚s to 1180‚s
