CDCCI (2001). An invaluable resource covering all aspects of the digital project, with special preference to capture standards.
- Building Digital Collections: A Technical Overview
Lib. of Congress (2006). Loads of resources available for download, covering a wide range of technical topics, including text mark-up and EADs.
- Moving Theory into Practice: Digital Imaging Tutorial
Cornell (2003). An introduction to the technical considerations associated with a digital project.

- RU-CORE and NJDH Standards Analysis for Audio Objects
Rutgers (2007). A recommended minimum standards for preservation sampling of moving image objects. Recommends file formats for preservation masters and derivatives, workflows, and sample rates.
- Video Preservation
Hannah Frost / Stanford (2007). Great list of resources regarding video preservation, including standards, glossaries, organizations and mailing lists.

- Cataloging Cultural Objects (CCO)
CCO (2006). CCO web resources include cataloging examples, training tools and presentations for use by practitioners, in addition to excerpts from the CCO print publication
- Research at the Getty: Getty Vocabularies
Getty (2009). Links to the freely accessible Art + Architecture Thesaurus, Union List of Artist Names, Cultural Objects Name Authority, and Thesaurus of Geographic Names. These resources are widely used in the creation of original metadata for digital objects.

Getty (2008). An online publication devoted to metadata, its types and uses, and how it can improve access to digital resources.
