Environmental Health Information Service.
As much of the material in the database is available at no charge, users
can access this database outside the library. If you are prompted by a sign-in
box, in order to access this region of the database, you must be in a WSU
library and contact a reference librarian or Documents Librarian, Sally
Lawler, for the User ID and password.
The National Climatic
Data Center is providing no charge access for the Federal depository
libraries to access the Online Document Library. Libraries may access the
Monthly Climatic Data for the World, Storm Data, and Local Climatological
Data via this controlled access site. The user must be in the library to
access the database. Contact the Science/Engineering Library or Purdy/Kresge
Library Reference Desk for ID and password.
STAT-USA. As much of the data
is available at no charge, the general public can access this database.
The complete database, however, is restricted. Complete data can be accessed
from within the Purdy/Kresge Library and the Oakland Center Library through
a paid subscription for up to 250 users. Two simultaneous WSU students and
staff may also dial-in from home or office. For access from Shiffman Medical,
Law, and Science & Engineering Libraries, please ask for assistance at the
reference desk; these libraries share access with two additional depository
library passwords.
