The U.S. News & World Report articles are available through ProQuest Research Database as HTML only, and any graphics or charts that accompany the print articles will not be available to view online. Some rankings are available online through US News & World Report. The library does not subscribe to the premium online version of U.S.News & World Report. Individual users may purchase a paid subscription to the premium service directly from U.S. News & World Report to access it online. The print version of the current year of U.S. News & World Report is available on the 2nd floor of the Kresge wing of the Purdy-Kresge Library. Issues prior to the current year are also available, on microfilm, in the Kresge wing of the Purdy-Kresge Library.

A ranking of the "Top 500 World Universities"

Note the disclaimer that accompanies this ranking: The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) has been published by the Institute of Higher Education, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (IHE-SJTU). It has been done independently by the ranking team in IHE-SJTU for their academic interests without any external financial support. It has nothing to do with any commercial activities what so ever. Although ARWU has ranked research universities in the world by their academic or research performance based on internationally comparable third-party data that everyone could check, there are still many methodological and technical problems. Please read the ranking methodology carefully and use ranking results with cautions. The ranking team is working hard to study the problems and improve ARWU.
