Services and equipment (no longer available)

The Regional Digitization Center at Wayne State University was equipped to digitize a variety of formats and offers a variety of other services. All services were designed not only to produce a digital collection, but also, when desired, to provide training with the digitization equipment. We were equipped to perform and train librarians in audio digitization, image scanning, and video digitization. We could also provide training and assistance with copyright issues, metadata standards, digitization resources, storage for digital collections, and oral history, including interviews.

Software previously available included: Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; iDVD, iMovie; Macromedia Dreamweaver, Media Cleaner Pro; Microsoft Office Suite; Peak DV; RealPlayer, RealProducer, and RealPresenter; and Quicktime VR Authoring Studio. There was a variety of hardware available at the Digitization Center.
