- How do I know if I can request an item?
A button
will display at the top of the screen of requestable items. Requestable items are generally:
- Books from circulating and Storage collections
- Journals from Storage
- Sound recordings
For items in Storage with no Get It button, please submit a Materials Storage Request Form (see #4)
- What do I need to place a request?
- Something requestable
- A OneCard, or other current WSU library guest card
- No holds or fines on your library record
- How long will it take to receive my request/s?
- CHECKED IN items:
- In-building pickup: 24 hours
- Delivery to another library: 48 hours
- Storage items: within 1 ½-2 hours
- CHECKED OUT items:
- Available after they are returned by patron currently holding the book. This may be anywhere from the next day to an entire semester away. You may find MeLCat faster.
- ON ORDER/IN PROCESS:
- Available just after we receive the items requested.
- From a few days for “in process” items,
- To several weeks for “on order” requests
- Available just after we receive the items requested.
