Searching in the Library Catalog
The Subjects
search uses special terms to organize books by subject.
One of the types of special terms are called Library
of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH for short). If you type in
your keywords as a subject search, you may not get much back. For example:
If you entered
a Library of Congress Subject search for: women
marketing you
would get no records!
But if you searched
using the LCSH term, women consumers
you'd
see the library has around 10 books for this particular subject
heading.
