Where to Find a Book or Journal

Use information from its Library Catalog record to find a book or journal.

Location
Check here to find out which of the WSU libraries has the book or journal.

Call Number
Write down the call number. It acts as the "address" of an item in the library. To find out which floor to go to in the library you can:

• Ask at a Reference Desk, or
• Use the call number location guide or floor maps posted in each library.
• Remember that Journals/Magazines/Newspapers do not have call numbers. They are shelved in alphabetical order by title, and located in the Periodicals section of the library.

Status
The status line will tell you whether a book is checked out, lost, or has recently been ordered. Journals cannot be checked out.
