On average LCMS provides between 60 and 100 streamed lectures per week from the major lecture halls on campus. To request this service, please fill out our Digital Audio Recording Request form

Why provide electronic versions of lectures?

In the context of responding to extremely high student demand for flexible learning opportunities the Library System has begun a project of streaming audio technologies. Active students as well as students with disabilities, both of which may have difficulty coming to campus to retrieve recorded audio cassettes, will have a new access method - Web delivery.

During Fall Semester 2000, approximately 8,400 audio-taped course lectures were provided as a service in 31 courses. According to an April 2000 WSU student survey on recorded lecture usage, respondents indicated an extremely high interest in using recorded lectures and in receiving these lectures through the Web.
