Faculty Support & Media Services
The Library System strives to support teaching and learning at Wayne State University by providing the highest quality technical assistance, advice, and customer service in the areas of faculty research-related support, multimedia/audiovisual equipment support, audio and video streaming services, teleconference scheduling, and digital support for instruction. Library Computing and Media Services provides essential audio visual services and support to nearly 300 general purpose classrooms on the Main and Oakland Center Campuses.
In addition, we also provide equipment and support for non-classroom events including Convocation and Graduation. We also provide support for other non-classroom events if resources are available, but we may refer you to alternative media resources depending on where and what the presentation is and whether equipment and staff is available to support your event.
Our main office is located on the first floor of the Purdy Library, in the Technology Resource Center (TRC), Room 146.
Main office hours are:
Monday-Thursday: 9:00am to 6:00pm
Friday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
Saturday-Sunday: Closed
(On weekends, assistance for common computing problems is available during open hours at the Extended Study Center on the 1st floor of the Undergraduate Library.)
