Interlibrary Loan and document delivery services are available through all WSU Libraries for WSU faculty, students and staff. Orders for materials such as books, articles, microformats or other media may be placed using this form. For more information, please visit this page or call (313) 577-1100. Shiffman Medical Library staff provide WSU faculty, students, and staff with regular email updates on newly purchased library materials and available resources in the area of bioinformatics. To receive regular email updates, please send an email to: askmed@wayne.edu and indicate your interest in this new service. Librarians of the Shiffman Medical Library are available for individual appointments or group consultations on database searching, sequence analysis tools, access to molecular biological resources, etc. To request a consultation, please call (313) 577-1094 or email askmed@wayne.edu The library can create customized subject guide or pathfinder on a particular topic or to support classes that WSU faculty teach. The Shiffman Medical Library offers numerous education and training opportunities. To request a workshop on molecular biology, genetics, and other bioinformatics information resources, please contact LaVentra Ellis-Danquah. The library also hosts workshops on molecular biology, genetics, and other bioinformatics searching tools taught by researchers from the WSU Bioinformatics Center. Librarians serve as liaisons to departments and colleges to receive direct faculty input. Librarians work with faculty to discuss the research and curriculum needs of their department or college, library resources or services, library instruction programs, and collection development recommendations.
