Room Reservation/Request

For Students Group Study Rooms

We are pleased to offer the use of group study rooms for WSU students. Three rooms are equipped with a blackboard and chalk. Please ask at the Circulation Desk for additional chalk or erasers.

Reserve a Study Room

  • Call Shiffman Library at (313) 577- 4118 or
  • Visit the Shiffman Medical Library Circulation Desk (main floor) at 4325 Brush Street, Detroit, Michigan.

Please observe the following rules while using study rooms, and report any problems.

Rules for Reserving Study Rooms

Please help make optimum use of these rooms by observing the following rules:

  1. Group study rooms may be signed out for
    1. three hour time period
    2. with the WSU One Card
    3. by a minimum of two or more people
  2. Reservations are only available to WSU students, faculty and staff. Guest library cards, including alumni, can not make reservations.
  3. Reservations must be made three hours in advance minimum.
  4. One three-hour renewal is allowed, providing no other group is waiting.
  5. Noise levels must be kept to a minimum so as not to disturb other library patrons.
  6. Please make use of provided trash cans to keep room neat.
  7. Violations will result in loss of group study room privileges.
